Cynthia Thinnes is an astrologer whose work is rooted in Essentialist and Traditionalist philosophy as taught by authors such as René Guénon. She has primarily used Western Traditional and Classical methodology in her practice but is currently studying and incorporating techniques from the Vedic/Indian tradition.
Cynthia has received a Vedic Certificate from Kepler College and holds Level II Certification through NCGR. Her primary employment has been as an astrologer for over 10 years, after retiring from her practice as a Family Law attorney. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Illinois State University.
Cynthia has studied astrology since childhood. She began casting charts by hand when she was 12 and has been giving astrological readings for over 25 years.
In addition to astrology, Cynthia is deeply interested in the Japanese language and culture. She has studied Japanese for over 10 years, and her language studies have deeply influenced her spiritual development and understanding of metaphysical principles.
